This company is not a law firm
Hannover German Citizenship, LLC is a document company. It carries out archive and genealogical research, obtains and prepares records, coordinates certified translations and legalizations, assembles applications in the form required by the German federal authority, files them, pays German official fees and follows files through.
It does not practise law, it does not provide legal advice, and it does not hold itself out as qualified to practise law in Florida or in any other state of the United States. No employee or representative of the company in the United States is admitted to any state bar.
The lawyer, and the limits of his admission
Questions of German nationality law arising in a file are examined by Fabio Werlang, a European lawyer admitted in Portugal and Brazil:
- Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil, Paraná Bar, no. 32.133
- Ordem dos Advogados de Portugal, Lisbon Regional Council, no. 64569L
Fabio Werlang is not admitted to the bar of any state of the United States and is not certified as a foreign legal consultant in Florida. Nothing on this website is advice on the law of the United States or of any US state.
He works from Brazil and from Europe. He is not present in the United States for the purpose of rendering services, and he is not certified as a foreign legal consultant under Chapter 16 of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar.
No attorney-client relationship
Nothing on this website creates a lawyer-client relationship, and neither does sending us a message, completing the intake form, or receiving a free document review. A relationship arises only under a written engagement signed by both sides, and it is only from that point that any duty of representation exists.
Please do not send confidential material or original documents before such an engagement exists.
General information, not advice about your case
The pages on eligibility, the questions and answers and the journal are general information about German law, written for a general audience. They are not an assessment of any individual case and they may not be current: German nationality law has changed repeatedly, most recently in 2021 and 2024, and provisions described here may since have been amended.
No guarantee of outcome
Applications of this kind are decided by the German authorities, and no one outside those authorities can promise a result or a date. We do not guarantee that an application will be granted, and we do not give estimated decision dates. Where a file is refused, the decision may be challenged, and whether that is worthwhile is assessed case by case.
